
KINGSTON / JAMAICA –
12 Slam Champions were awarded a total of $1.2 million in prize money at the inaugural staging of Michael Johnson’s Grand Slam Track in Jamaica April 4-6, 2025.
On Sunday, the final day of competition, Olympic champion and world record holder Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone of the United States won the Women’s 400m race in a time of 50.32 and she was nearly two seconds ahead of Andrenette Knight of Jamaica .
Double-Olympic bronze medalist Grant Fisher’s of America third place finish in the men’s 3000m was enough for him to be crowned slam champion by a single point over Hagos Gebrhiwet of Ethiopia who won the race in 7:51.55.
