KINGSTON, Jamaica
Bryan Levell of Jamaica stormed his way into the finals of the men’s 200m at the World Athletics Championship in Tokyo Japan, cruising over the finish line in 19.78 seconds.
Levell ran a technically perfect curve to take the lead over Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo of Botswana, who was second in 19.95 seconds. Both athletes looked extremely comfortable, and it was clear that there was alot left in their tanks.
Noah Lyles of the USA leads all time going into the finals when he stopped the clock in a world-leading time of 19.51seconds over Zharnel Hughes 19.95 second in heats 3.
It was both fifth place finishes for the Jamaican pair of Christopher Taylor and Adrian Kerr who both recorded personal best times of 20.21s and 20.08s respectively, and failed to advance.
The finals is set for tomorrow September 19 2025, 8: 06am Jamaica time.
