
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce with gold on her mind as she crosses the line in the first round of the womens 100m in Tokyo Japan
KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s trio of female sprinters have all qualified for the second round of the women’s 100m at the World Athletics Championship in Tokyo, Jamaica a short while ago.
The ladies all ran conservative races, just doing what was need to book their places to the second round .
First on show was young sensation Tina Clayton in heats 2, who ran a controlled 11.01s to finish first ahead of Dina Asher-Smith 11.07s
Season campaigner Shericka Jamaica was second in heats 3 with a time of 11.04s, behind the improving Sha’Carri Richardson of USA who ran a season’s best of 11.03s
Veteran Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce did enough to finish second in 11.07s behind Marie-Josee Ta Lou-Smith 11.05s
