
Kishane Thompson’s superb 100-meter sprinting form continued this afternoon, when he stormed to victory in 9.85 seconds (+0.4m/s) to win the Eugene Diamond League- Prefontaine Classics.
In his first race since being crowned Jamaica’s National Champion, Kishane not having his best start muscled his way through his drive phase and he led the field at the 50-meter mark. Thompson got into his running and with confidence, lengthen his strides to take the win.
Second went to Zarnell Huges in a season’s best 9.91 seconds and third was Trayvan Bromell 9.94.
Jamaica’s Akeem Blake was fifth in 10.03
